The hilarious exploits of Frank Drebin (Leslie Nielsen) are played out in this original TV series from the early eighties. Drebin is the typical clichéd police detective who is parodied and skewered by the shows’ writers to perfection. This show was the precursor to the Naked Gun films, and follows Lieutenant Drebin as he bumbles his way into solving the crimes of a typical police house and the crimes of the city, but with a hilarious spin. Only six episodes were produced of this series, but each one contains more humor than an average comedy film today, and is well worth repeated viewing. |
